Bullying:
The WHDC Christian Academy is committed to maintaining a healthy, learning, and working environment free of any form of bullying or intimidation by students toward personnel or students on school grounds, during school time, at a school-sponsored activity or in a school related context. Bullying is the ongoing or repetitive intentional action by an individual, or group of individuals, to inflict physical, emotional or mental suffering on another individual or group of individuals.
Students have a right to an environment that is free of bullying, harassment, and intimidation so that the school is a safe learning environment.
Alcohol and Drug Abuse:
Any introduction of a weapon, an illegal drug, alcohol or tobacco will be treated as grounds for immediate expulsion. The possession, use or supply of illegal, unauthorized drugs within school boundaries is unacceptable. The school is smoke free for all students, staff, parents and visitors.
Possession and /or consumption of alcohol or deliberate inhalation of solvents will require the Principle to contact parents and send a letter home.
For possession and/or use of illicit drugs, parents/guardians will be informed and the police will be notified. Parents/guardians will be present at any police interview.
“Drugs” refer to those that are legal such as alcohol, tobacco, solvents, over the counter and prescribed drugs, as well as illegal drugs.
